Happy Post Memorial Day my friends, as a kid I always marveled when I would watch MLB Baseball highlights and see home runs hit out at Wrigley Park in Chicago, where you would see the neighborhood in the background. I would be fascinated by that, wondering what it would be like to have a ballpark in your backyard.
We see how similar developments have come up in Atlanta and now in Washington DC, where I was watching highlights again as an adult and poking my friend living in good old boring Northern Virginia about how cool it would be to live in a sick place with Nationals Park as your backyard.
My buddy recently got divorced, as his kid is off to college, giving him some financial freedom from child support payments,
So I'm so proud and pumped to say that I spent the weekend helping him get settled in his new sick bachelor pad, which is right on top of Nats Park to a point where once he starts banging chicks in his living room, the entire spectacle would and will be visible from your seats on the third base side.
He finally realized why sometimes you blow so much on rent, not just for some school zone friendly zip codes, but for the type of place that no matter where you are in the world, no matter how much fun you're having, you just can't wait to get home,
Now he understands that, the way I do, and I hope if when and now, you will be able to have that feeling,
Home is not where you settle, it's where you thrive.
